The Ramayana is one of the two great Hindu epics, the other being the Mahabharata. The Ramayana is the story of Lord Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu. It is also a love story between Rama and Sita, who is kidnapped by the demon king of Lanka, Ravana. Rama lays siege to Lanka with the aid of the monkey army of Hanuman, and wins Sita back.
