About

Mamandram Magazine is the official publication of the Malaysia Hindu Dharma Mamandram (MHDM), a non-governmental organization serving the minority Hindu community in Malaysia. The Mamandram Magazine is a quarterly publication aimed at informing and educating readers about Hinduism and Hindu teachings as well as fostering better understanding of the Hindu religion, culture, and traditions. As an online publication, the Mamandram Magazine is targeted at an international audience and is global in its scope of coverage.

It is hoped that Mamandram Magazine will promote a better understanding of the oldest living religion in the world. With an unbroken history estimated to be at least 5000 years old, Hinduism has a rich culture and history along with profound philosophy and numerous scientific and spiritual contributions to human civilization. Nevertheless, Hindu Dharma is not widely understood or appreciated. Mamandram Magazine aims to address this by educating a global audience on various aspects of Hinduism and Sanatana Dharma as well as other topics of interest to Hindus.

Subjects covered will include, but not limited to, culture, history, philosophy, ethics, spirituality, education, mythology, scripture, yoga, temples, eminent personalities, and current events. The Mamandram Magazine hopes to inform and inspire Hindus worldwide to lead a way of life that is morally and spiritually sound and ultimately more fulfilling. The magazine also aims to dispel misinformation and rumors about Hinduism and its devotees.

Through objective articles, Mamandram Magazine also aims to appeal to a wider audience beyond the Hindu community who want to learn more about Hinduism and the culture, sentiments, and thought-process of its adherents. Building on the Malaysia Hindu Dharma Mamandram’s experience in promoting Hindu religious education, the magazine will foster greater learning of the Vedas and other scripture.

Published primarily as a blog, Mamandram Magazine will also be available as a downloadable online document. The blog format will allow readers to post comments and present their views on the topics covered. This interaction will help make the magazine more relevant and informative.
